10 Adult Party Games Guaranteed to Get You Laughing
PARTY GAMES ADULTS

My husband and I are HUGE tabletoppers and one of the things we love most in life is hosting game night at our house. These 10 game ideas are from our personal favorites for adult party nights. These are the games to pull out when you have a group of casual gamers that want a quick and fun game without needing to read pages of rules to learn how to play. I can guarantee you will be laughing (especially if you add in some themed cocktails)! I love all of the games in this list and the order really is irrelevant. This list contains affiliate links to purchase these games from Amazon. If you purchase through my link, I will receive a small portion of the sale at no additional cost to you.
1.) We Didn't Playtest This at All

I have this on the adult party game list and this one is perfect for a casual game night! This game however is also great for families, especially with teenagers. The rules are simple and basically consist of: be the first to win the game without losing. Throughout gameplay players will take turns playing cards to add rules for winning or losing. For example, maybe all players need to quack like a duck before playing their cards. If they forget to quack, they lose! This game gets chaotic quickly and is also a great option for team building and icebreakers.
2.) Charty Party

This is another one of my all-time favorites. If you are a math or statistics nerd, this is an absolute must-have addition to your party games. Come up with ridiculous correlations by placing adult themed titles on the Y-axis of these charts. The judge selects a winner in the same fashion as cards against humanities. However, this game isn't about winning because the laughs and justifications are the best part of this game.
3.) Utter Nonsense (Naughty Edition)

Have you always been told you have an uncanny ability to mimic accents? Test them out in this adult party game. The accents range from different languages to giving birth. In addition to the accent, you need to select a wildly inappropriate phrase from the cards in your hand to read without breaking character. This game is a classic example of "what happens at game night, stays at game night!"
4.) Dixit

This is another one on the list that is wonderful for an adult game-night but it is just a wonderful game that also works well for families (especially those with teenagers). All players have a handful of intricate, beautiful, and just plain strange cards. The object is to choose a word where you think at least one person in the room can identify your card without being so obvious that everyone knows which it is. It isn't as easy as it sounds when playing with a creative bunch! All players select a card of their own they think fits your word to try and trick people into picking their card. Making it too obvious backfires as well because everyone except you will score for that round.
5.) Wavelength

This one has an odd concept but is a lot of fun, especially with big groups since it is a team game. You get a category such as "Need" vs. "Want". Only the person giving the clues knows where on the spectrum their team needs to guess. The player must list items in that category they believe falls into that spectrum. Their team adjusts the dial based on the clues and scores based on how close the dial was positioned to the answer.
6.) Monikers

Monikers is a game you will bring out again and again. It is a pop culture spin on Taboo & Charades where you split into teams and go head to head on who can earn the most points by guessing ridiculous phrases. There are many expansions to keep up with the latest pop culture references. This game is fast-paced where you switch between guessing, acting, and giving clues. It is a great option for parties with a lot of people since it is team based.
7.) Ransom Notes

What party couldn't benefit from making ridiculous ransom notes with magnets? This game is simple to play and a lot of fun. Grab a pile of magnetic phrases and use them to try and craft a coherent response to the prompt.
8.) Trial by Trolley: an Adult Card Game of Moral Dilemmas and Murder

Do you enjoy moral discussions and putting your friends on the spot? This game is a conversation starter as you decide who should live in this twist on the classic trolley scenario where you can only save one person / group of people.
9.) Pitchstorm : Card Game of Pitching Horrible Movie Ideas to The Worst Executives

Do you have a not-so brilliant idea for a new movie? Have fun pitching ideas to your friends in this card game as you take on the role of an unprepared writer pitching ideas on the spot! Executives will throw out twists and turns but you need to roll with the punches and sell your hit film.
10.) Telestrations After Dark Adult Board Game

I had to throw this one in there because I always love games with a drawing element. I like the spin on this one where it turns a Pictionary-like game into telephones. Take turns drawing, passing your card and guessing what the person next to you drew. The next person then has to draw the phrase written by the previous person. Will it end up with the phrase you started with? Very unlikely but nonetheless a lot of fun!
