Summer's here, and with it, the perfect opportunity to ditch the screens and dive into some classic outdoor fun! Whether you're heading to a campground, setting up in the backyard, or just looking for ways to inject some adventure into your days, summer camp games are the answer. Get ready to spark imagination, encourage teamwork, and create unforgettable memories with activities that are sure to become family favorites. To kickstart your outdoor escapades, we've even included a free printable camping scavenger hunt that's ready for your next nature expedition!
1.) Summer Camp Name Game
This game has played and tested on my 4 and 8 year old in multiple themes and it is always a hit. They always have fun coming up with new, silly names with their friends and wearing the name tags for the day, calling each other by their new names. You can come up with your own version of this game at home. Think of some outdoor names like Sunny, Maple, and Boulder. You will need one name for each month. Finally, think of nature inspired last names like Falls, Meadow, Creek. You will need one name for each letter in the alphabet.
Finally, use design software like Canva (Free) to create a fun, camping-themed layout. Include instructions to choose their name based on the first letter of their first name and month of their birthday.
