Fairy Toadstool Caprese Bites
Ingredients:
- 1 pint cherry tomatoes (red ones work best for that classic toadstool look)
- 1 container of fresh mozzarella balls
- Fresh basil leaves
- Toothpicks
- White Sesame Seeds and Mayonnaise (for the “toadstool spots”)
Instructions:
- Prep the tomatoes: Cut each cherry tomato in half, or trim just the bottom to help them sit flat. These will become your magical mushroom caps!
- Assemble the base: Skewer one mozzarella ball onto a toothpick. Add a fresh basil leaf underneath for a leafy, fairy-approved touch.
- Top with tomato: Place a tomato half gently on top of the mozzarella ball to complete the toadstool look.
- Add magical spots: Use a toothpick to carefully dab tiny dots of mayo onto the tomato. Carefully stick white sesame seeds onto the mayo to mimic classic toadstool spots.
